Several years ago Linn Richardson was reading a Popular Hot Rodding Magazine and came across an article showing the installation of a Borg Warner T-5 overdrive into an early Pony.

Many things struck Linn about this compact little unit. The most compelling aspects were the size, the similarities in the shift selector mechanism to the Corvair's stock transmissions, and a wide range of gear ratios.

Most of us would have put the magazine down and thought nothing more of it. But Linn went to a local junk yard and picked up a T-5 core, disassembling it and making a study of the internal bits and pieces.

What you can own now are the results of over four years of research and development, tweaks and improvements, to bring to you what we think is the most dramatic performance and drivability upgrade ever for your Corvair.
